FAQ’S

  • The location of the recovery pod changes occasionally to better serve the community. For the most up-to-date information on its current placement, please refer to the home page of our website and follow our social media channels where we provide regular updates. This ensures you have accurate details before visiting.

  • Road to Recovery is open to everyone over the age of 18. If you have any underlying health conditions then please seek medical advice before booking.

  • We’re here to guide you through your first infrared sauna experience and you can find more information located on the signage throughout the pod.

In the Sauna: Start by sitting on the lower bench for 5-10 minutes. Ease in gradually, and listen to your body—step out to cool down and hydrate as needed.

Cold Plunge: If it’s your first time in cold water, ease in slowly and focus on slow, deep breathing. Stay for only a few seconds and don’t push yourself. Begin with shorter sessions and gradually increase the time as your body becomes more accustomed to the cold.

Relax & Repeat: Alternate between the sauna and cold plunge a few times for maximum benefits.

  • Swimwear, suitable footwear like flipflops, two towels (one to sit on and one to dry yourself), a changing robe (if you have one) and a bottle of water to keep hydrated throughout your session (water is also available inside the pod).

  • We have a small are for changing inside the entrance of the pod, but we advise that you arrive dressed with your swimwear underneath your clothing.
*Please note that your 50 minute session includes time for changing.

  • Most of our destinations have public toilet facilities nearby, but please check prior to booking as some public toilets may not be available during the quieter months.
